Father Benedict J. Groeschel, a Franciscan Friar of the 
Renewal, is a psychologist, a spiritual writer, and Director of
Spiritual Development for the New York Archdiocese. His other
books include Spiritual Passages (1983), Listening at Prayer
(1984), and The Courage To Be Chaste (1985). Father Benedict
is Promoter of the Cause of Beatification of Terence Cardinal
Cooke and has prepared a biography of the cardinal
